Founded by Dr. Thomas Gould in 1961, our hospital has grown alongside Redlands, CA, becoming a trusted partner in the lives of generations of pets and their families. We’ve always believed in providing personalized care, treating every pet as if they were our own family members. We are also proud to be AAHA-accredited.

Redlands Animal Hospital: A Legacy of Innovation and Caring

Redlands Animal Hospital has evolved over the years, continually upgrading our equipment, techniques, and knowledge so that we can offer the very best for your pet. With state-of-the-art surgical suites, advanced diagnostic tools, and a dedicated team of experienced veterinarians—all graduates of UC Davis, one of the top veterinary schools in the world—our hospital combines tradition with innovation to meet the needs of today’s pets. In order to make our pet patients more comfortable, we have grown to include areas such as a larger Waiting Room with separate areas, a quieter Cat Treatment Room, and a private, outdoor Tranquility Terrace for euthanasia services. We understand that your pet is a cherished member of your family, and our mission is to make both you and your pet feel comfortable and cared for while receiving the highest quality veterinary services.

Meet Our Team

Our team of veterinarians and staff is the heart of Redlands Animal Hospital. With decades of combined experience, each of our four veterinarians brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and a commitment to staying up-to-date on the latest advancements in veterinary medicine.

Dr. Kathleen A Blanchard

Kathleen A Blanchard, DVM, graduated from UC Davis in 1997 and started working at Redlands Animal Hospital in 2006. She later became an owner in 2015, continuing the practice after one of the original owners, Dr. Randy Hansen, retired.

Compassion and safety are at the core of everything we do, ensuring that every pet and pet parent feels welcomed and valued from the moment they walk through our doors.

Dr. Richard Price

Richard Price, DVM, graduated from UC Davis in 1988 and started at Redlands Animal Hospital in 1989. In 2004, he moved to Calimesa, where he worked until he returned to Redlands in November 2017. Along with Dr. Blanchard, Dr. Price began plans for the hospital expansion.

Dr. Charles C Dusenberry

Charles C Dusenberry, DVM, graduated from UC Davis in 1982 and was one of the practice owners, working with Dr. Gould, who opened Redlands Animal Hospital in 1961.

Dr. Elaine Ngo

Elaine Ngo, DVM, began as a veterinary technician at Redlands in the 1980s and then attended UC Davis, graduating as a veterinarian in 1993. She practiced at South Bay, Woodcrest, and Calimesa until 2021, when she rejoined the staff at Redlands.

Dr. Katelyn DeVore

Dr. Katelyn DeVore graduated from Western University of Health Sciences in 2023, after attending UC Davis. Her goal is to foster strong, collaborative relationships with both pets and their owners. Her special interests include preventative health, dermatology, public health, and clinical pathology. Outside the clinic, Dr. DeVore enjoys spending time with her two cats, exploring local coffee shops, and attending concerts.

Our Hospital Renovation and Expansion Project

In 2019, the doctors recognized that we had outgrown the original facility that had served our clients so well since 1961. To meet the needs of our growing client base and provide even more advanced services, we embarked on a journey to expand. After purchasing a nearby building, we worked with experts in veterinary hospital design to transform the space into a modern, fully-equipped facility through extensive rebuilding.

In January 2023, we opened the doors to our new hospital, located in a building that has long been a part of the community’s history—from El Gato Gordo in the 1980s to Revolution Night Club in the 1990s. Today, the space has been completely reimagined to create a welcoming, state-of-the-art environment for pet families. With features like digital X-rays, ultrasound, an in-house lab, laser therapy, and an oxygen-equipped ICU, our new hospital represents the next chapter of compassionate, comprehensive veterinary care in Redlands, CA.

As we look to the future, our goal remains the same: to provide a safe, welcoming, and advanced space where pets can receive the care they need and deserve.

Our staff at Redlands Animal Hospital are proud to be a part of the Redlands community and look forward to continuing to serve pets and their families for many years to come. If you would like to learn more about us or schedule an appointment, please contact our team today.
